Glossary & methodology

WorkAINow tracks public revenue for indie apps and digital products. We label every figure by how it was obtained so you know exactly how much to trust it. Figures are in USD, dated, and refreshed when sources update.

MRR
Monthly recurring revenue as reported by the source. We never compute it ourselves. Records reporting $0 MRR are not ranked by MRR.
30-day revenue
Total revenue in the last 30 days as reported by the source. Can include one-off payments, so it can differ from MRR.
28-day revenue
Some sources report a 28-day window. We always label it “28-day revenue” and never show it as 30-day or monthly.
Lifetime revenue
Total revenue since the source started tracking. Not comparable with monthly figures, so it is ranked in its own group.
Headline revenue
The figure used for ranking: MRR if above $0, else 30-day, else 28-day, else lifetime revenue. Rankings keep each metric in its own group.
Verified by {source site} via {platform}
The source site labels the figure “Verified” and says the figure is pulled from a payment-provider connection (Stripe, RevenueCat, etc.) on a public dashboard.
Public update
Shared by the founder (e.g. an X post with a screenshot).
Estimate
A third-party published estimate, cited. We never create our own.
Revenue as of
The date the source last synced the revenue figure. Pages flag “Data may be outdated” when it is before 2026-10-01.
Sources report different figures
Shown when independent sources disagree; we display the primary source’s number and link every source.
Source multiple vs calculated multiple
Source multiple is shown on the seller’s listing. “Calculated by WorkAINow” is asking price ÷ (12 × MRR), or ÷ (12 × 30-day revenue) when MRR is missing; it is not a source figure.
Growth
Revenue growth and MRR growth over the last 30 days, as shown by the source.
