nutrIA: a Spanish-language AI nutrition app that more than doubled MRR since June

Figures are source-labeled by verifiedrevenues.app, TrustMRR and whatsthe.app as cited. WorkAINow has not audited them. Data as of 2026-10-20.

The angle: most AI calorie apps fight for English-speaking users. nutrIA is a Chilean app (TrustMRR) whose App Store name and description are in Spanish (App Store). It now makes about $18K MRR, and its MRR has grown over every snapshot we have.

Snapshot

The growth curve

Date MRR 30-day revenue Source
2026-08-13 $11,189 $8,070 Wayback / TrustMRR
2026-09-29 $15,685 $25,979 Wayback / TrustMRR
2026-10-20 $18,103 $39,075 TrustMRR

TrustMRR shows 30-day revenue up 120% (TrustMRR). Estimate: MRR grew about 62% in ten weeks (method: $18,103 ÷ $11,189 − 1; the two figures come from the same site).

How it charges

For sale, and the pitch to buyers

The app has been listed since 2026-02-28 at $700,000 (TrustMRR). The listing claims "strong brand positioning in Chile" and names LATAM expansion and "B2B partnerships with nutritionists and health institutions" as next steps (TrustMRR). Those are the seller's claims. Estimate: about 3.2× annualized MRR (method: $700,000 ÷ (12 × $18,103)). That's higher than the 2.7× for Calyra, but nutrIA is growing while Calyra's revenue is slipping.

What other founders can copy

  1. Go where competitors aren't. A Spanish-first product in a crowded English category reached 5,900 subscriptions (TrustMRR).
  2. Charge for the AI, keep the basics free. Free text logging gets people in; the AI photo scan is the reason to pay (App Store).
  3. Offer a lifetime option to users who won't subscribe (App Store).
  4. Use a cheap, standard stack. Expo, Supabase and RevenueCat (TrustMRR) help keep a 65% margin possible at $18K MRR.
