Stat AI: $218K lifetime from 500 subscribers, on sale for $250K
Figures are source-labeled by TrustMRR and whatsthe.app as cited. WorkAINow has not audited them. Data as of 2026-10-20.
The angle: Stat AI earns about $34 a month from each of roughly 500 subscribers (TrustMRR). It has one App Store rating (App Store). Its MRR fell more than half from February, then grew again. Its asking price is one of the lowest relative to revenue in our for-sale data. It's a useful case for founders thinking about selling a small app.
Snapshot
- TrustMRR today: $17,024 MRR, $21,060 last 30 days (up 61.8%), $218,246 lifetime, 502 subscriptions, 81% profit margin (TrustMRR)
- whatsthe.app (data dated 2026-10-01): $12,871 MRR, 430 subscriptions; verifiedrevenues.app showed $16,380 MRR (whatsthe.app, verifiedrevenues.app)
- App Store: STAT AI LLC, released 2025-08-06, 1 rating (1.0 stars) (App Store)
A smaller sports-betting app than PropGPT
The App Store copy promises an "AI Confidence Dial", "DeepSearch™ AI Insights" and "emotional detection" across major leagues (App Store). Like PropGPT, it sells to bettors at high prices: - US items: Pro Weekly $14.99, Pro Monthly $29.99, Pro Yearly about $200, Ultra Monthly $199.99, Ultra Yearly $849.99 (App Store). - Estimate: about $33.90 MRR per subscription (method: $17,024 ÷ 502). That's close to PropGPT's about $39.
The curve
| Date | MRR | Source |
|---|---|---|
| 2026-02-01 | $31,939 | Wayback / whatsthe.app |
| 2026-04-02 | $21,067 | Wayback / whatsthe.app |
| 2026-08-20 | $13,031 | Wayback / TrustMRR |
| 2026-10-20 | $17,024 | TrustMRR |
The early points are from whatsthe.app and the later ones from TrustMRR, so the February-to-August drop compares two sites. Estimate: about −59% (method: $13,031 ÷ $31,939 − 1, cross-site; treat as approximate). The fall-season rebound matches the start of the US football season, but that's our hypothesis.
The price
- Listed since 2026-01-16 at $250,000 (TrustMRR, whatsthe.app).
- Estimate: about 1.2× annualized MRR (method: $250,000 ÷ (12 × $17,024)). With an 81% margin, that's roughly 1.5× annualized profit (method: $250,000 ÷ (12 × $21,060 × 0.81)). It's been on the market nine months without a reported sale, which suggests buyers worry the revenue won't last.
What other founders can copy
- High prices work with a small user base. 502 subscribers bring in $17K MRR (TrustMRR).
- Offer a premium tier. An $849.99 "Ultra" yearly plan (App Store) lets the most committed users pay far more.
- Ask for ratings. A 1-star average from one rating is the first thing a buyer or new user sees. It costs nothing to fix.
- List when revenue is steady. Listing during a decline, as here (MRR fell from February to August while the app was for sale), lowers the multiple a buyer will pay.
Unknowns
- Acquisition channels (none listed), ad spend, and founder identity (listed only as "Alf")
- How subscribers split between Pro and Ultra; churn; trial length
- Whether any offers were made during the nine months on sale
